Our spurtle is tapered, making it easy to hold and use for stirring cereals as well as soups, stews, and broths. The handle is in the traditional shape of a thistle, the national flower of Scotland.
Our Scottish spurtle is made from locally sourced American Black Cherry. Lancaster Cast Iron spurtles are turned and sanded to give them a smooth even finish.
